The Coachella Valley Art Scene had the opportunity to curate and produce the Coachella Art Studios for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2012 (both weekends) thanks to Goldenvoice.
The Coachella Art Studios is an interactive craft installation inside the campgrounds of the music festival. Inside the Art Studios concert-goers have a unique opportunity to engage with art materials and tools to hand craft their Coachella experience with. Here is where they can find all the materials to publish your own zine, press your own buttons, design your own ‘Coachella outfit” by cutting it up and adding studs, make your own jewelry or drink coozie, join a Recycled Symphony or make signage for your camp area. All of this, and much more, for free everyday from 10am – 2pm.
Below are some of my favorite photos from the third batch of pictures that have been released from the local up and coming photographer, David Mawby. Before the end of this month we will have our official Coachella Art Studios video recap! So, please stay tuned for that. In the meantime, check out the photos below to see what went down in the funnest/coolest/most unique area of the music & arts festival.
