Calling all beatniks…..
Tonight is the opening celebration for a new community space in Desert Hot Springs! The new facility is called The Space and it’s geared towards youth whose ages range from 16 – 25 years old. The Space, a program of Cup of Happy – East, plans on providing workshops, Open Mics, movie nights and support groups. To start it off with a bang they are opening their doors to the community by calling all beatniks, poets, musicians and/or creatives to come on in, take the stage and hang awhile. It’s an Open Mic Night and you are invited!
*side note: Being that the Founder/Editor of The Coachella Valley Art Scene grew up Desert Hot Springs, this absolutely great news to hear that a positive place for youth is opening up in DHS. A safe place where kids can seek guidance, get help, and express themselves is outstanding! Props to Cup of Happy!

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Come join us for a showcase of local creatives!! Help us kick off the opening night of The SPACE by checking out some great talent or showcasing your own. Open mic is ACOUSTIC ONLY.
The SPACE is our new facility in Desert Hot Springs for ALL 16-25 year olds. We are located on Palm and Pierson, right next to the POP Shop. We plan on providing workshops, movie nights, support groups and open mics. This venue is also open to any business who would like to hold classes, workshops or events for the DHS community.
NO DRUGS. NO ALCOHOL.

“Cup of Happy is a program under SafeHouse of the Desert. Our main goal is to de-stigmatize mental health issues and provide healthy, positive outlets to 16-25 year olds in the Coachella Valley.
