Our good friends over at Raices put on an excellent annual Dia de los Muertos event every year.  This year they are stretching it out over a course of two months, leading up to the big celebration.  Within these two months they are offering free art workshops to refine your skills and learn the culture.

Workshops range from crafty puppet making to water color to using your iPhone to produce Instaprints….a little something for everyone at any level.  Many of the Coachella Valley’s talented artists will be leading these workshops, most notably the Date Farmers.

All art-making will culminate with the annual Dia de los Muertos event and community procession in Coachella on October 27, 2012.
