Our friends over at Raices put on an excellent annual Dia de los Muertos event every year. This year they are stretching it out over a course of two months, leading up to the big celebration. Within these two months they are offering free art workshops to refine your skills and learn the culture.
Workshops range from crafty puppet making to water color to using your iPhone to produce Instaprints….a little something for everyone at any level. Many of the Coachella Valley’s talented artists will be leading these workshops, most notably the Date Farmers.
All art-making will culminate with the annual Dia de los Muertos event and community procession in Coachella on October 27, 2012.

This Saturday there is a super special art workshop being hosted by The Date Farmers!!!
The workshop will be held in the Date Farmer’s new art studio in Coachella. This new studio will soon be a fresh new cultural hub for the Coachella Valley, so make sure to go test their workshop and peep the spot. We promise you’ll leave inspired.
